What Is Crime Stoppers?
Crime stoppers is a non-profit community program involving citizens, the media and law enforcement in the fight against crime.

How Does Crime Stoppers Work?
Information is called into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS. Callers do not have to give their name; a code number will be assigned to the caller. The call is then logged with the date, time, and a brief summary of the message. In any future transactions, including the reward collection or additional information, the caller refers to their code number. All information is kept strictly confidential. If a tip leads to the arrest of an offender, the caller is eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00

Who benefits From Crime Stoppers?
Everyone. By reducing crime, our community becomes a safer place to live, work, and play. Property values increase, business prospers, and tax dollars are saved. Through support of the news media, law enforcement, and you, everyone benefits - except the criminal.

Does Crime Stoppers Really Work?
Yes. With your help, Crime Stoppers now averages over 60 solved felony cases per month and continues to grow. The savings to the public are enormous when you consider that each unsolved crime costs taxpayers thousands of dollars for investigation. When a crime is solved through Crime Stoppers, the cost is approximately $28.00 per solved case without the use of tax dollars. Crime Stoppers has now grown to over 800 local programs across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
