The E.O.C. serves as both an operational center during
natural or
man made disasters as well as a training room for
police
and city staff.
The City of St. Pete Beach has an extensive Emergency Management
Plan which can be implemented in the event of a natural or manmade disaster.
The plan details actions that will be taken by the various departments
of the City of St. Pete Beach during such an event. The E.O.C, located
in the police department, would be activated and become the operations
control center of the situation, as the name implies.
